Powerbacks by Blue Worx

Inspired to create Powerbacks® and Blue Worx Inc, while working in Phoenix, Arizona as freelance graphic artist for corporate presentations, Mr. Blue¹s primary account, Marriott, depended on him for their on-site production needs. During this time he utilized PowerPoint® for operation and editing and as a design tool in his presentation work. By using PowerPoint® (at the time, office 95) Mr. Blue became disillusioned with seeing the same background graphics in his and other¹s predictable presentations.
As a result of frustration, which is how many successful businesses get started, he continued working on corporate shows in lighting, audio, and video production and computer support. By putting all these creative influences together, he got the idea of creating a vehicle in which visual images for unique presentations could be offered on a consumer level.

While serving as a technician at conferences involving pharmaceutical topics, medical, financial, telecom, computer and retail, and listening to topic trends in such categories as economy, annual reports, financial markets, biotech, robotics, and Tele-communications, Mr. Blue became aware of a void in the presentation market. He realized his mission would be to illustrate topics that transform speaker's words into to images, therefore filling a niche in the graphics market.

Mr. Blue¹s inspiration comes from key words that form a graphic image in his mind. Mr. Blue says: "I think predominately in images. My ideas reveal themselves as visions and dreams, and I create visual analogies and psychological interpretations of ideas. I ask myself, How I can touch as many people as possible with one central image? To Arouse and stimulate both conscious and unconscious levels in the viewer." Hence, the creation of Powerbacks (powerful background images) for PowerPoint.

Mr. Blue has assembled a package that is functional, done with artistic candor and unlike any traditional software. The first of two quasi-beta versions of the Powerbacks Collection, 2000 and 2001, contained 840 backgrounds each and were a business success story on the web. The launch of the first full retail version of Powerbacks Slide Alchemy, with 2,000 total backgrounds, released in July 2002 and greeted with excellent response by both new and previous users.

2003 introduces a new Powerbacks line, and is a companion clip-art CD containing unique and inspired imagery for users of quality print and presentations. The new designs offer new vision to those who wish to demonstrate presentations that connect with an audience to obtain a higher level of communication.

Powerbacks fills the void for those who have ideas and do not have the visual tools to create them. Gary Blue designs images for corporate, non-profit, religious, educational, financial, medical and pharmaceutical presentations. Blue stands alone in his mission and innovative approach to a commercial consumer product. Presently, Gary Blue is promoting distribution, press coverage, national catalogue and retail store placement of his product.
