Gretchen N. Vik, Ph.D.Gretchen N. Vik, Ph. D., is a communication consultant and professor in the Information and Decision Systems Department at San Diego State University. In addition to developing and teaching such courses as Communication for Accountants and the communication component of the MBA program, she teaches continuing education courses to accountants nationwide. She has designed courses for the Department of Commerce in international business, interactive videodisc instructional software for the Department of Defense in reading and math skills, and writing across the curriculum courses for the University of Maryland.
Her business communication texts for Irwin/McGraw-Hill include Communicating Through Writing and Speaking in Business, 9th ed., with C.W. and Dorothy Wilkinson; Writing and Speaking in Business, 10th ed., with C. W. and Dorothy Wilkinson; and Business Communication, with Jeanette Gilsdorf.
